Death Valley Nevada USA Cycle Ride · 8 November 2015

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

CHALLENGE COMPLETED!!!

Thank you to all who have supported and sponsored me. Know that your donations were well-earned, epic climbs (including one which was a continuous 17 miles uphill), cycling through a sandstorm, braving tarantulas, scorpions and coyotes, through part of the 3.4m acre National Park that is Death Valley, to reach Las Vegas at the other end. Thank you so much!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well this is the BIG one! My biggest (maddest?) challenge so far! Having completed London to Paris in 2013 and again in 2014, I'll be taking-on the mighty Death Valley, Nevada USA in November 2015. Cycling 420kms over 5 days, taking-on both the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere (282ft below sea-level), and some of the highest peaks in the US - climbing to 5,000ft. All in blazing heat of typically 28-30 deg C (thankfully not the near 50 deg of high-summer, I'm not totally mad!). Oh, and I'll be riding in my third London to Paris event in July, as part of my training for this epic main-event.Again, I am raising much-needed funds for Parkinson's UK, to support the amazing work they do striving to improve the lives of the 128,000 people in the UK with this degenerative disease, and continuing the relentless research into understanding its causes which will lead to more effective treatments and ultimately, a cure.I would be hugely grateful if you would support my challenge by helping me raise money for Parkinson's UK through my JustGiving page. ANY amount will be very gratefully accepted - every single pound raised will make a difference.Thank you sincerely, David Bradford. www.davidbf1.comDonating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
