Story
This particular ride has been on my bucket list for a good few years and recent events have made me think that it's time for me to start ticking a few more things off that list. So, I'm joining thousands of others on June 18th, cycling the 54-mile (including Ditchling Beacon) from London to Brighton for the BHF. The BHF fund around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them.
Why now? Well, I'm raising money in memory of a friend an ex colleague and a genuinely good guy, Wayne Jones, lost to a heart attack earlier this year. Wayne was always there, always doing his best to deliver for clients, just always around, getting on with life and trying to master the art of paddle-boarding. Then, brutally, out of the blue he wasn't. Devastating for his family and friends alike, and all those promises to yourself to meet up when you're in the area, or arrange to have a beer at the next trade do or even just a WhatsApp message, gone in an instant.
Every donation you make to this page helps fund scientific breakthroughs. Please support my journey fundraising for the BHF and help turn science fiction into reality.
