Story

As a lot of you know, Lesley and I have been in training for the Manx Mountain Marathon, which is fast approaching, (Saturday) 🙈🙈,

I’ve decided that this will be the perfect starting point for a month of challenges I’ve set for myself, to raise much needed funds for “Wish upon a Dream/Remember Me” local charities helping berieved children remember their parents, and sick children to have a fabulous memory before they pass on......... sorry something in my eye.......

Secondly I’m raising some much needed funds for the RMA, (Royal Marines Association) which is in its 75 year, this charity raises monies for veterans and their families, gives counseling, and bereavement support, and helps children of and injured Royal Marines, have access to holidays and any necessary needs to live a normal life, after service.

I know things are tight at present financially, but please if you can, help me to help these charities.

Other events will be as follows.......

Friday 11 June, Sea to Sea challenge, cycles roads and greenways from the sea at the Point of Ayre, to the sea at the sound on my trusty rusty mountain bike.

Saturday 19 June, Sea dip challenge, starting in Douglas, throw myself in the oggin (Sea) at every accessible beach around the island, finishing back in Douglas, yep, in the sea again......

Friday and Saturday 25-26 June, Lesley is joining me in an attempt to do the Raad ny Foillan, coastal loop of the island approx 94 miles, starting in Douglas, camping over night, then completing the second half.

Sunday 27 June, the Box Bar, will be at Woodbourne House, (Masonic Hall) from 10 am until 1600, selling Coffee, tea and soft drinks, hopefully it will be a nice day, all monies raised going to the above charities, please dig deep, if you can, please re post this for a wider audience........

Thank you.
