Hello,
Most of you will probably know that I've had problems with my back for a while now and swimming is looking like the best chance to get me back to full fitness. Thing is, I'm rubbish at swimming and my nature is to go three times and then give up!
So, I decided to do a sponsored swim of a mile, which isn't that much for some people but is a proper challenge for me.
The charity that I decided to raise money for is an amazing charity set up by an amazing boy, Samuel who has a very rare condition called Hirschsprung's disease which causes very severe intestinal problems that makes it impossible for him to eat. Samuel set up this charity for kids with rare diseases.
In 2015 one of my daughter Bailey's teachers at Janice Marshall Stage School, Tracy Nelson, had a little girl, Zoe, who was also born with Hirschsprung's Disease. There have been lots of challenges already in her wee life and through Samuels Smile, Zoe's Mummies, Tracy and Louise have had immense support and help. It's a fantastic and worthwhile charity.
Have a look at the website and please donate even just a couple of quid
