Story

Martin Murengera died as a result of a road accident and probably would have survived with the health care available in UK.  Many of my Rwandan friends die needlessly because of lack of healthcare facilities.  Martin was a pastor in Gikomero Parish. He had supervised the building of a Health Centre there which is waiting for £3000 to provide a water supply before it can open its doors.

Shaki is a mountain parish in which DDST has built a dispensary which needs to be upgraded to Health Centre so that it may have facilities for treatment of HIV/Aids and have a Maternity Unit  and Nutrition Centre.  People there travel by foot for 3 hours to reach the nearest Health Centre at Nyabinoni.  The nearest hospital is 80 kms away.  40 Kms is on unmade surfaces treacherously dangerous in the wet seasons.  Please support this project so that people do not die needlessly for the lack of health care facilities.  Thank you.
