Heifer International (HI) provides globally impactful programs in support of Economic Development, Women's Empowerment, Environmental Sustainability, Risk Mitigation, and Food Security & Nutrition. 

Elaine and David are particularly excited about HI's livestock donation programs that help farmers and communities become sustainable entities by providing farm animals. Giving an animal is like giving someone a small business, providing wool, milk, eggs and more. Animal donations can provide families a hand up, increasing access to medicine, school, food and a sustainable livelihood. Along with a donation of livestock, Heifer International provides training  in animal health, husbandry, breeding and nutrition, along with encouraging proper sanitation and promoting self-reliance through career building.

• $20 can buy a flock of chicks to help lift a family out of poverty.
• $85 can send geese, ducks and rabbits to give struggling families the promise of a secure future.
• $120 can gift a goat and change the lives of a family forever.

Donations made here will be directed to the HI's programs with the greatest need. We cannot target donations through JustGiving to specific programs, but you can directly support selected programs via the Heifer International website, heifer.org. Any donation in our honor would be most appreciated.
