Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Despite being a non Bangladeshi and coming from a White British background, I am supporting Sylhet Aid. Why? This is a question many of you may ask yourselves.
Well let me ask you...it is important for me to belong to a Bangladeshi background in order for me to see poverty and crave to make a difference?
I have seen how much work the Sylhet Aid team puts in to help the vulnerable.
How much they physically and emotionally get involved with individuals and families of the villages.
The way a young girl is empowered to educate her self, to become the only earner for her family, just by using a sewing machine provided by the charity.
The way a young child is able to mobilise in a wheelchair, easing their parents’ pain.
This touched me and made me extremely passionate to join the team, supporting them to raise money for the charity.
Your little support will surely make a world of difference. So please donate whatever you can as a ‘simple act of kindness’.
