At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I am running two marathons in support of the Alzheimer's Society.

The Alzheimer's Society does really important work in helping people who suffer from Alzheimer's, while providing valuable guidance and support for their families and carers. I know from experience that Alzheimer's (and other dementias) can be very difficult for all concerned. The Alzheimer's Society help families and individuals affected by these diseases to realise that they are not alone; they support valuable research to build the knowledge to fight Alzheimer's and ease the lives of those who live with the condition; and they fight stigma and negative attitudes to dementias.

In April, I ran the Brighton Marathon in a time of 3:47, on September 13th I'll be tackling the final stage of my charity mission: The Hull Marathon.
