Story

Hiya peeps!!! This June I am taking part in Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation's Swimming the Sights in hope to raise money and awareness for the devastating disease that is lung cancer. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the UK solely dedicated to supporting people affected by all forms of the disease and leading the charge to improve outcomes so people can live through lung cancer rather than die of it.

I’ve decided to swim the English Channel…..NO NOT IN ONE GO!! This is a challenge over the month of June so it’ll be spread out as I couldn’t swim nearly 22 miles in one go if I tried!

I’ve got around 200 FB friends and this is a request that is a little unusual. I know times are hard for everyone so, rather than people give me a lot of sponsorship (everyone is always so very generous), what I’m hoping for is for everyone to sponsor me to the tune of 50p. Yep that’s it, just 50p! If even half of my friends sponsor me then that’s £50 that the charity will benefit from, which is amazing!

So, all I’m asking for is 50p from everyone. My target is to raise £80, so if half do sponsor me then I’ll make good the difference of what is needed to reach my target. If I exceed my target then I’ll put £20 in anyway. It’s a win/win for the charity.

Thanks everyone and I’ll keep you all posted on how it goes. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming 🐠
