You may be aware that this is my third North Pacific crossing. The North Pacific is a vast hostile, but incredibly beautiful, ocean and
one of the last wildernesses left on earth.  For reasons that some of you may be aware is a very emotional and significance place for me.

I am aware that lots of you, for some unbeknown reason follow of my blogs while on the Clipper Race. So, I thought I would use this
occasion to try and raise some money for UNICEF, the official charity partnerfor Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. My target is to raise a minimum of £610, which is 1/10 of the minimum amount of miles we will travel on this passage.

If you feel appropriate, I would ask you to make a small donation maybe the price of a coffee which you could well be drinking whilst
reading my blogs. It will be of great interest to me to see how much coffee has been consumed upon arrival in Seattle, which of course is the home of Starbucks one of the biggest coffee chains in the world.
