Crossbasket House gives families a place to stay while their child is seriously ill in hospital in Glasgow. Children come from all over Scotland and further afield to receive treatment at the children's hospital in Glasgow.

Story

Final Update. Finished the 500km with a lovely walk in the mountains of Cyrprus. Exteneded families have their Sunday lunch together there so it seemed like an appropriate place to finish. Many thanks to everyone who has supported the cause. I am also now much fitter and have started runing again!

The weeks leading up to Easter are often a good opportunity to do some good for others. This year as the song says "I will walk 500 miles..." (well maybe it will be 500KM!) to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Yorkhill.

Ronald McDonald House at Yorkhill, Glasgow, opened in March 1996 and provides free accommodation for the families of long term and critically ill patients at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.  The hospital treats children from all over Scotland, the north of England and Northern Ireland and family stays in the House range from a few nights to over a year.

No doubt you will agree this is a great cause. So please dig deep and donate now.
