David and his friend Paul will be walking the 160km Alta Via 2 in the Italian Dolomites in early September.

We will be flying out on August 31st, which is the third anniversary of David and Jacinta's planned start of the same walk. It was right at the beginning of the walk that Jacinta had a stroke.

Thanks to the Italian emergency and medical services, the rapid treatment she received meant that her recovery has been excellent. At home, the support of The Stroke Association was outstanding and very reassuring.

Strokes can occur at any time and in any age group and I'd like to raise some funds for The Stroke Association with the traverse of Alta Via 2. The target is modest, so a small contribution would be very much appreciated.
