I also did Fradley 10km all to raise awareness & funds for Dementia UK . 

My main effort though is going on a 200 plus mile stroll from 17 to 23 June 2023 from the mouth of the River Trent to the Runcorn Bridge on the River Mersey… following the line of the Trent Valley to my home in Repton & the Trent Valley/ Trent & Mersey canal & River Weaver our to the Mersey.  

It’s 5 years since my sister Nicky persuaded me to join her on the start line of the Manchester 10km in Manchester on a baking hot day in 2018 to raise funds for Dementia UK.  Since then the adventure included Manchester HM, London virtual & actual Marathons & the Birmingham HM last year.   Before 2018 I’d never even thought of myself as a  runner.   This year as I celebrate a major birthday I thought I would celebrate by  taking on a much bigger challenge .   Walking ( and maybe running part) over a marathon a day for 7 consecutive days crossing width of England.  Whilst also going back to Manchester & doing some other dream runs!
