Story
I am running, walking, crawling this event to help raise funds for KAB. As many of you know I work for KAB as Rehab Worker and want to do my bit to help raise funds and to celebrate 100 years of this great charity. I would appreciate any support you can give. Or even better, join me on the day.
Working with over 12,500 people with a sight impairment in Kent and surrounding areas, we are one of the largest local sight loss charities in the UK. For over 100 years we have been working to prevent avoidable sight loss, deliver excellent support services and help people to live independently. KAB supports sight impaired people to live independent lives. We are the main providers of help and support for blind and partially-sighted people throughout Kent, Medway and Bromley, with over 12,500 people using our services.100 years ago, we started supporting 902 war wounded soldiers returning from World War I. Today our work is needed more so than ever. We work with adults, children, people with learning disabilities, people who are deafblind or have other multiple disabilities, and we also offer advice and help to their families, friends and work colleagues.
