Multiple Sclerosis is a debilitating condition which affects about 3 people out of 10,000, so about 2.5 million people worldwide. As yet there is no “cure” but there are drugs and other therapies which modify the progression of the disease and allow sufferers to live with it. 

Medicine is in a new and exciting phase in which a deeper understanding of genetics and molecular biology is leading, and will lead to new treatments possibly even allowing a “normal” life for people with a diagnosis of MS.

New therapies demand new research which costs money. Clearly COVID 19 has rightfully dominated the medical news for over a year but as we enter a possible easing of the threat from COVID perhaps we can spare some of the money we saved on social activities to help fund this vital research.
