Story
On 9th April 2022 I will embark on a life changing experience and challenge by climbing the worlds tallest mountain, Everest.
It’s a 12 day expedition from Lukla in Nepal to Everest base camp which stands at 17,598ft, 5365m. Everest base camp is 5 times the height of mount Snowden.
I will be doing this with a good friend and former school mate Ray Nicholson.
Our mission is not only to compete the challenge but support and raise as much money as possible for mental health and children mental health. As we know many have suffered in the past 2 years during CoVid with 1 in 4 people experiencing mental health problems.
Therefore we have chosen Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, where I am a Trustee as our local mental health charity. HEY Mind do a fantastic job and have a passion to ensure we won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
Every pound raised will go straight to HEY Mind so please support and to help me raise at least £10,000 for children and adults locally.
Thank you for taking time to read my story and for those who donate to support an invaluable organisation.!
