Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

I am organising a charity football match which is being held at John Fisher Sports Club, Limpsfield Road, Warlingham on July 28th 2012 to celebrate the life of my friend, Dean Lalande who died in April at 27 years old. The event starts at 12pm and kick off is at 1.30pm. Admission is free but we are asking for a five pound donation if you wish to play. There will be a raffle and auction after the match in the clubhouse.

Dean had Noonan's Syndrome plus rare internal genetic disorders and a heart condition. He underwent seven open heart surgeries during his life and his complicated health conditions meant he was classed as only one of seven in the world so was regularly used for research at Guy’s Hospital in London. Dean was a genuine and kind person who had a gift of making people feel special and I want to raise money because it would be a fitting tribute to someone who had an important impact in my life and the life of others.

I am looking forward to seeing many people at the match and it should be a great day. However, if you can’t attend, I was hoping you could make a small donation towards the fundraising here.
