Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Great Scottish Run 10K (unless I get lost and end up on the 1/2 marathon course...) on the 4th of September for Ghana School Aid.
My dad spent 4 happy years working as a district education officer in Ghana in the 1950's. Ghana school Aid is a small charity which Dad liked to support that aims to help the education of children in Ghana. You can find more details on their website.

They do great work particularly in rural areas
Anyone who has known me for a while will be aware that I am not a natural athelete but a few months ago I decided that I wanted to try and run a 10k. So far training has consisted of managing to injury my left achilies, right knee and cracking 2 ribs (to be fair the ribs were down to adventure tubing on the river Tummel).
It has been pointed out by one of the guys I work with that my injuries have cost the NHS a few quid so in true economist terms he pointed out that I really need to raise more than the cost of 2 trips to casualty and an x-ray. With that in mind I've set my initial goal at £300 but it would be great to break that.
