Story

Epilepsy Scotland works with people living with epilepsy to ensure that their voice is heard. Epilepsy affects 55,000 people in Scotland, we are here for anyone with this common serious neurological condition, their families, carers and employers. We campaign for improved healthcare and an end to stigma, we influence policies that will affect the health, educational and social welfare of people with epilepsy and we provide quality information, support and wellbeing services.

As most of you know I have Epilepsy and Epilepsy Scotland are a charity very close to my heart. Throughout this whole pandemic they have continued to support me and thousands of others in our lives living with Epilepsy..

Unfortunately they can't continue to provide these vital services without funding and like other charities, the global pandemic has made a huge dent in their donations and their opportunities to host charity events.

Purple day is on 26th March annually and this year I have decided to do a 26 mile walk to help raise Epilepsy awareness and much needed funds for Epilepsy Scotland.

The walk will be at Forth Quarter Park which is a ten minute walk from my home. The path around the park is approximately 1 mile and I intend to walk around it 26 times. Each mile will be recorded on a fitbit device and the results will be posted on my Facebook page.

Any donations will be gratefully received and will really help Epilepsy Scotland to continue these fantastic services, thank you

Dave 😊
