Story

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my Macmillan Just giving page.

As many of you know I am not the fittest of guys and I regularly enjoy a Saturday night out on Wind Street along with the regular Chinese/Indian.

Over the next 5 months I am determined to put all that aside to reach my goal in completing the Edinburgh Marathon for a worthy charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British Charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by Cancer.

As well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer, Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK

This excellent support stretched to a beautiful friend of mine Jenny Richards who sadly lost her battle in November last year.

Jenny & her family fully appreciated the support that Macmillan provided her and I am sure we would like to see this support continue to many more Cancer sufferers in the future.

How will your money help?

One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest fight most of us will ever face. By joining Team Macmillan in a fundraising event you're helping support people and their families living with cancer.

Macmillan are the nurses and therapists helping cancer sufferers through treatment. The advisers telling you which benefits you're entitled to. The volunteers giving you a hand with the everyday things. The campaigners pushing for better cancer care. The fundraisers who make it all possible.

We can all be part of the team. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.

I will use this page to keep everyone updated on my fundraising events, as well as updating you all on my training and progress as I get nearer to race day!

Finally I would like to say a massive thank you to those that have donated – either through this website or through various other means. It is very much appreciated!

Many Thanks!!

Dai/Dave/David
