I am currently in Year 11 at Benjamin Britten Academy and will be taking part in this years leavers charity skydive!

I have chosen to raise money for Waveney Football Club and  in the wake of this weeks tragic death of Jordan Banks, the 9 year old who died whilst at football training in Blackpool. Waveney Football Club and myself will be donating 50% of the money that I raise in his memory to help his family and establish a memorial to him. This will be the benevolent funds first donation.

I have played for Waveney FC  for 8 years and I am also a young leader for the club. The club has been running for over 40 years and has recently become a charity. It is a huge part of the local community, it provides football for everyone from veterans to under 7’s, as well as girls and ladies football and a disability team. It also runs a popular Saturday club.

I am fund raising to set up a benevolent fund at the club to help players and their families who are experiencing financial hardship and may not be able to continue playing without some support. The past year has been a really difficult time and had a huge impact on people of all ages and playing football provides a valuable outlet for so many young people who may be struggling. Football is a really important part of so many people’s lives and plays a big role in both physical and mental health.
