ABF's The Montgomery Challenge
Campaign by Army Benevolent Fund (RCN 1146420 & SC039189)
This year, take on The Montgomery Challenge for ABF The Soldiers' Charity. You have 30 days to walk , run , cycle or row the Full Monty Challenge (75 miles), the MiniMonty race (7.5 miles) or the Micro Monty for children (1 mile).

Story

I am very proud to tell you that my father Sgt Ronnie Paynter, may he RIP,  fought with the 10 Bn HLI during WW2 from Normandy to the Elbe. I am an Ex Serviceman and understand just how much the ABF do for our Serving Forces, Veterans and their Families. Therefore, in this year of the 75th Anniversary of VE Day and during this period of isolation and uncertainty (Covid19) the opportunity has been given to me, along with my dog Molly ;-) to perform the Montgomery Challenge. I will attempt to maintain an average pace of between 17 and 20 Mins per Mile during the whole Challenge, which for an ageing ex APTI of 63 yrs with one replaced hip and dodgy knees is no mean feat and it is hoped that you my family and great friends will support me and Molly by pledging to donate to the Soldiers Charity the ABF. Thank you in anticipation.
