Story

80 Year Old Mayor is going to break two new World Records making a total of three World Records.

I am the oldest person in the World to HALO Sky Dive from 30k ft. in daylight.

At night on the 21st August I will be replicate the HALO sky dive at night achieving a second World Record.

I will also be the first Mayor in the World to HALO sky dive from this height achieving a third World Record.

I am going to break my Age Related World Record 30k ft. Tandem High Altitude Low Opening SkyDive, with oxygen, in Memphis, U.S.A.    In order to make it even more challenging, I shall be jumping at Night, during a full moon.   All the costs of the jump will be met by me, so that all proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion.

It's a fantastic cause and helps so many people. It's a very comradely way of life in the Services and when you leave you still feel very comradely towards the Service men & women of today and yesterday.

They're your brothers and sisters,  and we mustn't forget them when they're in difficulty and need our help. I'm also raising money for the Legion because my Father was killed in the Battle for Cassino on 19 May 1944, one day before the Germans surrendered the mountain-top monastery.  I was nine at the time and I can empathise with families and relatives who lose someone, and those who suffer indirectly too.    Since my last jump in June 2014, I have rowed the Channel on a rowing machine, SkyDived whilst William Hague's Father wing walked, and abseiled down Guildford Cathedral at the launch of the Poppy Appeal. This has resulted in being presented with the Top Individual Fund Raiser Award by the R.B.L.
