Hi I am David Potter and I am climbing Mount Toubkal in Morocco (the highest mountain in North Africa - 13,671 ft) in July with Keith Blenkinsop, Geoff Brown, Allan Goodman and Dave Owen to raise money for the Enterprise Club for Disabled People. I am a Trustee of the Enterprise Club and have been an associate member for over 35 years - driving minibuses and providing general support to members as well as being a Trustee and helping to raise money.

The Enterprise Club for Disabled People is a local charity in Coventry, which has been providing services for disabled people since 1938.

The club works to improve the quality of life of disabled people in Coventry and the surrounding area, through providing or assisting with the provision of facilities for receation and leisure time occupation.

The club is open five days and six evenings each week offering a wide range of services, including Day Centres, Handicraft Group, Sports Group, Social Evenings and Theatre Excursions.

The main aim of the charity’s work is to reduce the feeling of loneliness and isolation often experienced by disabled people and to improve self-esteem.

Leisure and sporting opportunities are available to meet a variety of needs and adapted transport is provided to enable members to gain access to these oportunities.

Currently all the funding needed to run the charity, in the region of £90,000 per annum, is raised as a result of our own fund raising ventures, grants and donations. No statutory funding is received.
