I will be conducting a fund raising event at the GYS for a member of the Regiment who has served for 22 years with 1 PWO and now on FTRS with 4 YORKS. He is going through an extremely difficult time, having been told his son aged 29 has cancer and is fighting for his life against this aggressive illness.This is no news any parent wants to hear. His son has recently married and has 2 children under the age of two. He had always stated that he wanted to take his family to Florida for that once in a life time holiday. I intend to raise funds to send the full family on an all-inclusive holiday to show our regimental support during this very difficult time.

 I would greatly appreciate it if you could ask your soldiers, Families, work colleagues and friends, if they would be prepared to sponsor me whilst I cycle 500 miles, which will allow the whole family to have a family holiday together which they so rightly deserve.

 Challenge
From the 12th to 14th July 2016 at the Great Yorkshire Show, I will be cycling (static Bike) the distance covered on the Tour of Yorkshire (293 miles) and an additional (207 miles). Total (500 miles)
Funds raised will enable a member of our Regimental Family (who is terminally ill) to enjoy an all-inclusive family holiday with all his loved ones.
