Tuesday's Children provides a lifetime of healing for families whose lives have been forever changed by terrorism, military conflict or mass violence.

Story

On September 11th, 2001, I lost my dad when I was 4 years old. He was 39, just 4 days short of his 40th birthday. Growing up playing almost every sport, my dad found an outlet to compete. Endurance races and triathlon's became that outlet. He even qualified for the Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii. He trained regularly but was always home for breakfast and dinner and to say goodnight to me and my two brothers.

Every day I strive to be like him and make him proud. Competing in endurance races has long been a desire of mine and the Brooklyn Half Marathon will be my first.

For more than a decade, Tuesday's Children has worked to research, validate, codify an enduring approach to long-term and collective healing to families affected by terrorism. Tuesday's Children provides support in youth support & guidance, health & wellness counseling, career guidance, family programming, and provide community service opportunities. Tuesday's Children has supported over 27,000 individuals that have been impacted by terrorism and relies on financial support from its donors.
