Story

I never consider myself unfit, and a potential heart attack victim. On the 6th August, exactly that happened, a heart attack. What follows is an emotional roller coaster, of trying to ensure that you do all the things, to right the wrongs and prevent it happening again. You accept that it HAS to be a total change of life, diet, exercise. The British Heart Foundation, provide invaluable resources and support, which I can't explain how much it has made a difference to myself, my family and friends, in understanding how to prevent a reoccurrence. I and my supportive team of riders, who are determined to support me, would be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit my target. What's more, is that the iconic ride takes place on my 50th birthday.
