6 years ago i was diagnosed with a lung and heart condition which was so severe that the doctors were amazed that i was still alive, and estimated a life span of 2-3 years.
Since this time i have focused my energy on getting fit and fighting Pulmonary Hypertension to ensure that my girls have a father to walk them all down the aisle. it hasnt been easy, but my condition has improved so much that the same doctors have called me remarkable, and i am able to do lots of gym work. This run is my challenge to myself to face my fears and try to raise money for those with my condition that are not so lucky. Pulmonary hypertension is a debilitating disease to which little is understood about, and can limit its sufferers in terms of exercise capacity and quality of life. This is my way of confronting it and showing it that i rule the condition rather than it ruling me.
