You are kind, generous and loving for elderly, children and disabled

Brighton Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·
I was fortunate to have a close relationship with my grandfather, and he played a significant role in my life when I was young. As a Gurkha soldier in the British Army's 6th Gurkha Rifle, he survived the challenges and hardships of World War II, and he shared his experiences with me. His stories were filled with fear, euphoria, bravery, sacrifice, victory, loss, and pride.
However, as he aged, he spoke less, and eventually dementia took hold of his life and could not remember who I was. I hope you will take a moment to consider supporting a charity that helps people suffering from dementia. Therefore, I have decided to run a marathon to raise money for this organization. It is my way of honoring my grandfather and supporting others who are going through a similar experience. This charity is doing incredible work, and I believe it is essential to support their efforts. By running a marathon and raising money for this cause, I hope to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by dementia.
Even though my grandfather is not directly benefiting from this charity, his memory and the experiences he shared with me will always be a source of inspiration, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to a cause that is meaningful to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this story, and I hope you will consider supporting this charity in any way you can. I would like to stress that any amount, would make a massive difference.
