Down Syndrome Liverpool (DSL) is a registered Charity based in the City of Liverpool, (charity no.1097276) run by Parent and Carer Trustees of people with Down syndrome. DSL aims to support parents, carers and families affected by Down syndrome, seeking to enhance the lives of people with Down's.

Story

This one has been on my list for as long as I can remember. On May 1st 2021 I will attempt to run my first marathon race (26.4 miles) in Australia on Kangaroo island πŸ¦˜πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚️

This track is widely known for its multiple slopes and high elevation gain, so hills have been a huge part of my preparation and another obstacle to contend with on the day β›°πŸ”¨

Alongside the obvious personal challenge, I will be raising money for Down Syndrome Liverpool, a charity which grew closer and closer to my heart after being able to see first hand with my step-brother Toby how much their support helps young kids and also families in Merseyside influenced by this condition. Their tireless around-the-clock efforts are why children with Down Syndrome are now becoming more and more able to integrate into today’s society and have a better quality of life than they ever have done before.

Any contribution, however big or small will go a long way, so thank you in advance to those who can πŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ
