Story
I have been threatening to do some form of challenge for St Peter's Hospice for the past 2 years. I have since spent the various lockdowns getting myself as unfit as possible to make the starting point and challenge all the harder.
My Mom passed away on 7 March 2019 at 69 years old following an extremely short and aggressive battle with cancer. In the last week of her life, my mom was cared for at St Peter's Hospice in Bristol and the care she received was truly incredible. I therefore thought it would be fitting to run the Bristol Half Marathon in her memory and for this amazing charity.
All donations will be greatly appreciated.
St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
