In 2016 my Brother's wife, Maria, passed away after a short and awful battle with cancer. Maria was only 46 and possessed a genetic disorder that made her more pre-disposed to cancer than the average person. The Royal Marsden are pioneers in the very latest treatments to defeat cancer and provided Maria with truly outstanding care both before and after her diagnosis. Most of us are touched by cancer in some way and I wanted to find a way to give back to this wonderful charity to support their ongoing work.

As ever it has taken me a while to get round to how I could do that but in 2019 I intend to run one half marathon per month - 9 more than I have ever done in a year ...so I promise there will be some pain involved for me!
