DVC is Sleeping Rough

Rough Sleepers · 27 March 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to take on the challenge of sleeping rough alongside my colleagues for both Project Volunteer and Guildford Action (a Homeless Charity).
To make this event a little more interesting Guildford Action who will be monitoring us overnight have been decidedly tough. There wont be any roll mats allowed on the night, only a sleeping bag and regular clothes to replicate what homeless people go through. (please pray for a warm night) The venue will be the spike in Guildford and the team will assemble and bed down from 8pm until 8am.
This is a once only event for me as I have the luxury of a home and a family life unlike the orphans or the homeless. If you have ever walked past a homeless person and felt that you did not want to give because you did not know where the money would end up then STOP right now and donate. Take a look at what Guildford Action do with funds raised. http://www.surreycommunity.info/guildfordaction/
By now you would all know the great work that Project Volunteer do in Botswana. We are doing more work with local displaced families by assisting on community based family strengthening programmes, which has been yielding excellent results to get more children into school and support child headed households.
