The McCabe Educational Trust is an independent registered charity which has existed since 1991 and the very early days of McCabe Travel and is central to our vision. So far more than £4 million pounds has been distributed in grants to inspiring people we have met on pilgrimage.

Story

David and Heather have signed up to walk in the Holy Land. We will be doing 4 walks in all.
Walk 1 in Jerusalem around and through the Old City, ending at the Holy Sepulchre.
Walk 2 in Wadi Qelt beside St George's Desert Monastery
Walk 3 is between biblical sites beside the Sea of Galilee
Walk 4 is along a trail in the Huleh Nature Reserve
a total of up to 18 miles.
All money raised will be given in full to projects supported by the McCabe Educational Trust. David and Heather have chosen to support two specific projects:
Jeel-al-Amal (Generation of Hope) School and Boys Home which is home to 70 boys, many of them orphans. 250 children from Jerusalem and from towns and villages in the Palestinian territories are educated in the primary school.
Al Shurooq Blind School - a residential school in Bethlehem which provides total care and education for visually impaired children from all over the Palestinian territories.
Heather and David have visited these projects both personally and when leading pilgrim groups and have found them to be moving and inspiring places.
