KEEPTHEBEAT is a charity established to provide hope and support to the families affected by congenital heart defects. The Charity will have a particular interest in Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, but over time we hope to develop and cover all CHD's.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Back in 2013 I (along with 3 other team mates) cycled from Newcastle to London, 300 miles in just under 24 miles, to help raise funds for Keep The Beat.  Within an hour of finishing I was in an ambulance attached to an oxygen mask and ECG machine, suffice to say I promised myself and my family... never again!!!

Well guess what, on the 2nd July this year I along with 20 other team mates are attempting to cycle from our home village of Burbage to Newquay, again 300 miles in under 24 hours (including through the night) but this time with the added challenge of over 22,000 ft of hills to ride over.

we are all attempting this crazy challenge to remember Harvey, the son of one of my team mates (Bryan Lear) who passed away suddenly  aged 7 in 2011 and to again raise funds for Keep The Beat, a local charity close to my heart that supports local children and their families who are born with congenital heart defects.

Please support and once again thanks again for reading my Just Giving Page.
