Story
Abraham Charles Vincent (aged 20) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in June '12 and has spent the last year undergoing intensive chemotherapy, immunotherapy and the amputation of his right leg to kick his cancer into touch.
So when he was told he was in remission recently, I decided to choose to enter a half ironman distance triathlon to raise some funds for those that have helped him and his family. Afterall it will be a breeze compared to Abe's "event" of the last year and when it starts to hurt or I can't be bothered I just remind myself its my choice whilst Abe had no choice but he just dug deep and got on with it.
To support my fundraising further Peebles Cycling Club have adopted BCRT and will raise money through the activities of club and individual club members throughout the year. I will be covering all my own expenses for this event so you are guarenteed that 100% of your generous donations go directly to BCRT.
