Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 12th June I will be taking part in the Cairns Ironman. It will be my first Ironman and, as I struggle through the final leg running around Cairns, Simon will be on my mind. When he passed away unexpectedly on 3rd January 2014, Simon had been in training for a triathlon so it seems a fitting time to remember him. To many of you Simon was a friend who'd followed his dreams down under or a colleague on the Commodities desk - for me he was both. Simon left behind him his wife Ev, pregnant with their second child, Isabel, and their other daughter, Sophie. At the time I was proud of the emotional and financial support for Ev and the girls from his colleagues at NAB and circle of friends. I've also been amazed at the strength that Ev continues to show as she continues to play the hand that life has dealt her. Now I'm asking you again to remember Simon and his legacy by donating to a cause that will fund research and help other families from having to go through this.
