I will be running/walking 20k in the hope for a cure to be developed by the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation in America. The DTRF are currently the only foundation researching Desmoid Tumors.

Desmoid Tumors are very rare, most doctors  haven't heard of them, in fact, they're so rare that only 2-3 people are diagnosed with one in every MILLION. There is no standard course of treatment,  no one treatment that works for one person will necessarily work for the next person, they are completely unpredictable and most cases are incomparable to each other because of the many other defining factors.

The annual "Running for answers" event in America is on Sunday 23rd of September, any information can be found at "http://www.runningforanswers.org". Normally the distance is 5k, I feel that this is not enough of a challenge so I've upped it to 20k and I've also changed the date so it suits me!
