As many of you know Chris had a fairly long battle with cancer (diagnosed in April 2010) and, as far as I am aware (and I think I would know), she never complained about either the illness or the treatment. (And by the way the treatment can be pretty horrible).

She eventually lost the fight, despite all the efforts of (probably) the best cancer treatment team (at Clatterbridge), in the whole country in July.

I am raising money for Clatterbridge because, every time Chris had to go there (which was every week) the staff were just superb and deserve all the resources they can get. The work that is undertaken by the staff in the caring way is second to none.

Plus they do so much work on research that in the future the evil that is cancer can be defeated!!!!!!!
