As many reading this will know, earlier this year I lost a great friend who left us too soon. On the day we had planned to celebrate her 40th birthday, we went to her funeral instead, and so, quite frankly, I'm fed up of cancer. 

When a friend of mine suggested I join her on this trek, I looked in to what Trekstock do (see more information below), and said yes without hesitation. The charity helps address the needs of young adults diagnosed with cancer in their 20s and 30s, and so doing the South Downs challenge with a view to helping fight the 'c' word is a challenge I'm willing to accept.
