In June 2017, Maria's mother died unexpectedly. Maria was 3 at the time and it came as a big shock. The ongoing support and counciling she received from Grief Encounter has been a great help, whether it's helping her understand bereavement to attending events and meeting other bereaved families and knowing she's not alone.
