Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I must be crazy because I have made a stupid decision to put myself through 8 weeks of hellish training to prepare for a charity boxing match on Saturday 3rd September at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
I am one of those people who sign up for a gym membership, go once and then keep "forgetting" to go, so the thought of 8 weeks of Spartan like training is sending shivers down my spine. The thought of it culminating in an actual fight makes me feel even more sick! I haven't thrown a punch in anger since I was at school many years ago and even then it was probably one of the worst schoolyard fights that has ever happened!
The event is run by Ultra White Collar Boxing (www.ultrawhitecollarboxing.co.uk) who run over 300 events a year and have raised over £4million for Cancer Research UK.
This is a charity that I want to support as my family have lost a number of relatives to cancer, including my mum, Ann, so my fight would be dedicated to her. Anything that can help eradicate the disease is more than welcome.
I will try and post updates here regularly and appreciate everybody's support.
Tickets are available for the fight and the event will be amazing with over 1,500 in attendance. If anyone would like to tickets to come and see me fight like a warrior (or more likely stroll around the ring and get hit a few times), please get in touch,
