Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On 23rd September I will be running the Belfast Half Marathon to raise funds for clean water. Some families in East Africa have to travel up to 13 miles a day in order to fetch water...at least I am not carrying jerry can!

At Fields of Life we are deeply concerned about the lack of available clean water in East Africa. Especially among vulnerable and marginalised groups, such as women and children. We can’t believe that in 2018 one tenth of the world still do not have access to safe water and every 90 seconds a child dies from water-related diseases. It doesn’t have to be this way!

We are passionate about bringing fresh water to communities in East Africa and from as a little as just £4 a month you can join us and help to change lives. Clean water changes everything!

Access to a safe water source will:

Reduce the number of water related illnesses and ultimately deaths;

Reduce the risk of attack on young girls who have to fetch water alone;

Reduce the number of hours spent collecting water and therefore allow children to attend school and gain a quality education.
