David's L'Etape du tour page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Bournemouth Leukaemia Fund (BLF) was set up in 1984 by my father Professor Terry Hamblin and Dr David Oscier, and support from patients, their families and friends, and the local community has played a vital role in funding their research.
My Challenge
The Etape du Tour is a new passage in Haute-Savoie.
Annecy, the "Venice of the Alps" is the destination, between mild summer of the lake and close to many passes and summits.
The program for this 21th edition is a very nervous route of 130 km fully drawn in Bauges, a sequence of small hamlets and villages in the protected environment of the natural park.
The profile of this step does not promise much rest time, the altitude is distributed among many ascents. The grand finale will take place on the rise of Semnoz, which has impressive percentages.
After a finish at the top of the sport Semnoz, you will descend slowly towards Annecy.
More about the Bournemouth Leukaemia Fund

This research increasingly improves the survival and quality of life of patients locally and worldwide, however is costly to conduct. The charity aims to support local research into the cause, diagnosis, natural history and treatment of patients with the illness.
