Liverpool Chics helps to support the whole family of a child diagnosed with cancer, from diagnosis for as long as we are needed. Our Family Support worker is based at Alder Hey. We offer various events, theatre trips, parties etc to ensure all our families experience as much fun time as possible.

Story

To celebrate their 10th year, AFC Liverpool will be organising various events over the coming months, in order to raise some much needed funds for our fan owned Club, which was set up to provide affordable football for local football fans.

On Saturday 24th March, some members of the Club are doing a sponsored walk. 50% of the funds raised will go to the Club and 50% will go to local charity CHICS.

CHICS Liverpool is a children's cancer charity, providing information and support to children, and their families, affected by cancer. CHICS Liverpool is based in Alder Hey Hospital and their mission is to give cancer patients and their families the up-to-date information, practical advice and support they need to reduce the fear and uncertainty of cancer. As a charity, CHICS rely on voluntary contributions (donations) and fundraising to provide this service.

The walk will be from Burscough FC's ground to Marine FC,s ground (where Afc Liverpool play their home games) and then back to Burscough for the match at 3pm! It's approximately 26 miles, with walkers doing either one leg of the walk or both legs. Anyone who wishes to take part and help raise funds would be very welcome.
