Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit our 'Cardiff Half Marathon 2023' JustGiving page.

This year we've taken the plunge and signed up for the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 1st October. As part of the build up Dave and Martyn will be running the Cardiff 10k on Sunday 3rd September. 

We're running for 'Maggie's' cancer charity. Maggie’s Centres offer the best possible support FREE to anyone with cancer and their families who walk through their doors. Maggie's helps people take back control when cancer turns life upside down, with professional support for anything from treatment side effects to money worries. All their support is free and those who need this vital support don't need an appointment or referral – they can just turn up. They really are an incredible team!

Dave has only run one half marathon before, the Cardiff Half in 2013. And lets just say Mel and Martyn have run one or two before! It's a complete co-oincidence it's 10 years since Dave Iast ran the event. His motivation to do it again (while he thinks he still can!?) is, in those 10 years cancer has affected so many people around us... work colleagues, friends and family included. Dave, Mel and Martyn will be running for all those people through the weeks of training and on the big day.
