Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
Salisbury District Hospital or Odstock when I was born has always been there for me and my family when we have needed them.
In the 42 years since I thankfully have only spent 4 nights in hospital with a bout of meningitis. However, SDH has been a constant in my life:
- Joseph and Zachary were both born there!
- They treated a very poorly Joseph for Meningitis at just 9 months old, he was only finally discharged from his hearing checks less than 2 years ago (he's in year 10 and a stroppy teenager now!).
- The staff cared for mum numerous times during her various mental health crises when she needed urgent help and also when she had the Stroke that put her into care, her first 6 weeks were in SDH where they saved her life.
- Both my grandparents were treated their regularly, always with great care and dignity.
This Trek is an opportunity for me to say thank you for all the support the hospital has given my family and give something back in return.
I'm really grateful for all you support!!
I am self funding the trip so you can be assured that all of your donation ends up with The Stars Appeal!
