Hi All,
I am back running the London Marathon again this year. It began to look like I was having more trouble shifting the baby weight than my wife after a long period of inactivity so here we are. Having run 3.29 last time around I am now looking to break the 3hr barrier, which of course is utter madness since at the moment I can't even run 5 miles at the pace required. Let's see how it goes.
This year I am running in aid of a fantastic charity that is based locally to me in Stockport, although they cover a much wider area. The Stockport CP Society was established over 50 years ago and now offers care and support to children and adults, who have a range of physical and/or learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions. The aim of this charity is to offer services that reflect individual needs to improve quality of life. Please do take some time to check out their website for more details.
Examples of the type of initiatives that my fundraising will go towards are:
1. Disability Equality Training project for schools
2. Twice weekly sessions from a specialist provider using technology to enable people who have disabilities to perform and produce music
Thanks in advance for any donation that you can make, I am still completely blown away by the generosity shown last time around.
Thanks,
Dave
