On 2nd November 2019 myself and two friends will be travelling to Nepal, to trek to Mt Everest Base Camp. The trek is a 124 kilometre (77 mile) round trip and involves a pretty unsettling flight into what is classed as the world's most dangerous airport (Lukla),11 days of hard trekking through rough terrains & high suspension bridges - to finally reach Everest Base Camp elevated at 17,600ft.

Once we have reached Base Camp, the following morning, setting off at around 3am, we will also attempt to summit Kala Patthar which has an elevation of 18,519ft

As part of the training involved in such an expedition, We will be doing various personal challenges all over the UK and Northern Ireland. So keep your eyes peeled for all my facebook posts!!!

Having had family members who required end of life care from Marie Curie, I wanted to use my ex military knowledge in trekking, to help other families and individuals in a desperate time of need and the Everest Base Camp Trek allows me to do just that. 

To me, this trip is very much about living life to its fullest, as none of us know exactly when we may need the help of such charities as Marie Curie. so for this reason, I would like to take the time to thank all who have read my story and made a donation, your contribution will certainly be put to amazing use, as 100% of your donations will go to Marie Curie!
