Story

My January Challenge is to cycle to work 3
time a week (8.8 miles each way) and to cycle a total of at least 250 mile
within the month.

As a father of 3 it is really difficult to
find the time to fit in exercise. A

lot of the time it is easier to get in the car
and drive to work. The reason I have picked cycling is because I do enjoy
cycling to work as it is great exercise and helps the environment.

The hardest element of this challenge is going
to be keeping myself motivated and committed. putting off my rides to another
day.

My chosen Charity is The October Club, which
is a local charity based in Wantage that offers relief support to carers of
people suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia.

My reason for supporting this charity is
because my dad suffered from an Early Onset Frontotemporal Dementia, because of
my dad's age there was not much support out there. Many care homes did not
offer relief care for people in their fifties. The October Club supported my mum
and gave her some relief during the day. My dad was homed in a care home in
Peterborough until he passed away in November 2019.

I Would now like to raise money for this local
charity that helped me and my family.
